DL380G2 USB hub with USB modem

Hi all!

I connect USB Hub on server with 2 USB modem on the hub, the server hang on the Server Logo screen, Pls Help!~

I already upgrade the BIOS...any sugestions?

First of all, what you're doing is not a supported configuration, so don't call HP if you mess up the server.
What happens if you leave out the hub and just connect the modem? what happens if you boot first and then connect everything

very much correct usb support on servers is limited. Check here

But disc usb device then boot the server then connect the hub and modem it will work. At post dont do it. Server may stop reponding.

Is it hanging during the O/S logo or the Proliant logo? If its the Proliant read on, if not... well I guess just try the BIOS update.
There is a suggested BIOS update, but like previously stated HP will not support this device. What happens if you leave the USB hub disconnected until the O/S is loaded, then plug the USB hun in? I know that a USB device plugged in during post can cause the server to try to boot to the USB device. That may be why its hanging.
