DL380G3 + SmartStart 8.25 (64-bit) ACU issue
I'm in the midst of redeploying an old DL380G3 as a RH Linux box. I blew away the previous array with a SmartStart 8.25 (64-bit) ACU. After reconfiguring the drive array (RAID 1 array for OS + RAID 5 array for data) with two logical drives, the RAID 5 set has an informational warning. It's description reads as follows:
Background parity initialization is currently queued or in progress on Logical Drive 5. If background parity is queued, it will start when I/O is performed....
Upon exiting ACU, it will not allow me to continue the OS installation process.
Has anyone else seen this? This is my first time using a 64-bit SmartStart.
Please advise.

Re: DL380G3 + SmartStart 8.25 (64-bit) ACU issue
I thought that the DL380 G3 was a 32 bit machine. I'm sure that 64 bit processors/motherboards were only fitted to G4 and above. My ML370 G4 is 64 bit, but my DL360 G3's are certainly a 32 bit machine.

Re: DL380G3 + SmartStart 8.25 (64-bit) ACU issue
I think you're right. After reviewing the supported platforms for the SmartStart, the DL380G3 does not appear in the list. Nor do I see any further documentation that indicates that it supports 64-bit OS'.
