Re: DL380G4 Parallel Printer
I don't know the Tally software but searching around I've found an article which states you can change the security from hard-lock(dongle) to soft-lock with Tally 7.2 (updateable from previous versions).
Have a look here.

If you must have a hardware parallel port then you could buy a PCI based add-on from any decent PC store. This will give you the hardware parallel port you need on the DL380G4 but will need a spare PCI slot.
I hope this helps.

Re: DL380G4 Parallel Printer
Given that the DL380G4 uses PCI-X slots, can I use a standard PCI Serial/Parallel card ?

SolutionBoth the standard "Non-Hotplug" and optional "Hotplug" versions of the PCI-X Riser cards for the DL380-G4 support "Universal" PCI cards (3.3 Volt).
You should be able to obtain a 3.3V Universal PCI parallel port card without too much difficulty. Here is an example.

I have attached the specs for both DL380-G4 PCI-X Risers to this reply.
I hope this helps.
