DL380G4 Storage Server Logical drive Remove & Installation Problem
Unfortunately DL380 G4 Storage Server has logical drives removed. Try to deploy fresh windows 2003 storage server from Quick Restore CD, but failed. Server has 2x 36GB drives installed.
During installation it show an error,
==============================
Logical Drive A:(RAID 1)
Size : 27555 MB
Stripe: 256
Array Accelerater : Enabled
Sector: 32
Logical Drive B:(RAID 1)
Size : 7171 MB
Stripe: 256
Array Accelerater : Enabled
Sector: 32
==============================
Both required partition created through Array Configuration Utility (ACU), and again try from Quick Restore CD. Restore process (Drive created, Copying files)completed and server reboot and Quick Restore CD ejected automatically.
But no O/S found or system not booted in window. it show error.
"Non-system Disk or disk error"
"Replace and strike any key when ready"
I try the above process 4-5 times but not getting success.
Kindly advice to resolve this issue.

Sanaullah Shah

Re: DL380G4 Storage Server Logical drive Remove & Installation Problem
see if you can find a later recovery cd on software.hp.com.
Also, I would suggest that you first delete all the arrays in ACU (don't create new ones) and clear all the settings in BIOS, and then try again.

Size : 27555 MB
Stripe: 256
Array Accelerater : Enabled
Sector: 32
Logical Drive B:(RAID 1)
Size : 7171 MB

Re: DL380G4 Storage Server Logical drive Remove & Installation Problem
Problem resolved by updating BIOS. And finally installed O/S from Quick Restore CD.
