SolutionYou can download it on http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23318.html
this is of course offline, but you can upgrade all your components (hw and fw)
I never used the online procedure (if there is one)...
hope that helps.
Benoit.

The only way to update SCSI drives firmware is to use Firmware Maintenance CD 7.40 as Benoit write.
The right link to Firmware Maintenance CD
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23331.html
(Benoit give link to SmartStart CD)

Re: DL380G4 "cry" for drive firmware update ?
in this case take most recent one
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/24048.html
Updates List
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/WebDoc/firmware/firmware740content.pdf
there will be list of new in 7.40 and Updated in 7.40
however just in case if you not find one from Firmware CD
download from
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/storage/us/index.html
and use Supplemental Floppy diskette under one of Options from CD and run Update

Re: DL380G4 "cry" for drive firmware update ?
I was able to use my "Smart Start V7.40 Firmware Update CD" .. booted just fine and the drives recoded to HPB7.. Server is back up and the logical drives are in good order.. I have set points to you all..
later...
