DL380G5 hangs at white proliant screen

I have a number of DL380G5 servers running Windows Server 2003 both R2 and non R2 that sometimes hang at the white proliant screen after reboot. Wondering what causes this to happen and possible fix.

Hi,
You can check that issye by upgrading firmware, which comes with server or u can download it from HP site which is belongs to server maintenance CD.

So you're saying I must reinstall the operating system on all of them?

Re: DL380G5 hangs at white proliant screen

How could the operating system have anything to do with this? Also considering it is multiple boxes some built from scratch.

Re: DL380G5 hangs at white proliant screen

I agree with DSPatrick, there doesn't seem to be a valid reason to reinstall the OS...
The firmware upgrade is a good idea, followed by a NVRAM clearing.
If the problem persists, I'd check the power configuration provided to the server and the load on the UPS.
