DL380G6 trouble (redhat and startsmart)

Hello, I've tried to install redhat onto a DL380G6 but I've FAILED. According to the startsmart CD I have to tell the server that It should use Linux based OS during initial install but someone restarted it twice and that dialog never came up. Now I can't find the option in the BIOS either (should according to all manuals be in: BIOS > system settings > OS). Why is there only windows OS installs showing in the startsmart "deployment" window?

What have I missed?

Hi, there is a x64 and a x32 version of smartstart. Also, are you using version 8.25?

It is not under advanced options in the BIOS then?

What version of red hat do you have? If you have one of the latest red hats you, the OS has smart array controller driver, so you don't need to use the smart start, if it is an old version try with the smart array driver diskette and load the driver during the installation, once installed run the proliant support pack to add the hp tools and additional hp drivers.
