DL380G7 - BBWC Installation
Hi,
Been googling this, but can't find anything on it, possibly because it's a stupid question.
I've never before installed BBWC (Write Cache Battery) module on a server with the raid already up and running.
My question is simply, is there at all any risk of losing the already initialised Raid5 when installing the module?
There is no doc saying anything about whether the raid will reset, or the controller remains unchanged after the install.

Re: DL380G7 - BBWC Installation
hi,
There is actually no risk to add the battery. The RAID config is saved on the drives. But backup is always good.
Thanks
regards,
