DL380g5 and GL360g5

I am doing a scripted (Windows Server 2003 Standard) install of both these servers and am getting to the point where Windows loads and you see the 39 minute remaining screen

At this stage it blue screens and the error is

"Stop 0x000000D1 DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL in hpcisss2.sys".

The only driver I load is the one for the SAS controllers

Smart Array P400 (SA-P400) Controller
Smart Array P400i (SA-P400i) Controller

I use cp005761 as the driver and load that into my txtsetup.oem and my unnatend.txt file

Can anyone shed any light on how to fix this error

Re: DL380g5 and GL360g5

Hi,

To prevent this STOP error blue screen from occurring, install Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 (SP1) or upgrade the STORPORT.SYS driver to version 5.2.3790.274 (or later).

STORPORT.SYS Version 5.2.3790.2630 is available for download at the following Microsoft URL:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912944/en-us

For additional information regarding the STORPORT.SYS driver, reference the following Microsoft Knowledge Base articles:

Hope this works!!!!

Re: DL380g5 and GL360g5

That did not fix my problem but send me in the right direction

There was a error in my script the txtsetup.oem in the disks part of the txtsetup.oem was not needed

This now works

Thanks for the help though

Re: DL380g5 and GL360g5

I've got exactly the same issue, applying the Microsoft patches won't work in my case as the server blue screens whilst being built (using an unattended install).

I can't use the W2K3 SP1 slipstream CD's so does anyone have any ideas on a way forward?

Re: DL380g5 and GL360g5

Hi!

Is it possible that you try the scripted install with Windows Server 2003 but without Service Pack 1?

Extract the Storport.sys from Service Pack 1 and integrate it in your I386.

This was the solution for me.

Re: DL380g5 and GL360g5

I used CaSmuts TXTSETUP.OEM and the Updated drivers from Hp Website for a P400 SAS Controller. Attached is my Answer file for and Unatteded Install of Windows 2003 X83 R2 with SP2. The install stops after coping setup files and then I reboot the server and Get a StopOp Code Red Screen. I have updated the the firmware on my DL 385 G2 Proliant But continue to get a Stop Op code red screen. Help from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
