DL380p G8 error System Power Fault Detected (XR: 24 A2 MID: FF 0D FE CE C0 FF FF 32 32 0C 0C 01 85 0

The Server could not be started, it is only acessible trough the ilo interface.

I found the Error

System Power Fault Detected (XR: 24 A2 MID: FF 0D FE CE C0 FF FF 32 32 0C 0C 01 85 00 00 00 10 47 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00)

How can I decode or find the Information to the error, or what can I do for fix this error?

First would update firmware (ILO, BIOS, etc) - this ILO version looks very old.

Hi Haq

I updated ILO to 2.78, and I tried to update the BIOS.
But now when I look under Information / Diagnostics, the info about the rom is strange.
Active ROM
System ROM record not found
System ROM Date record not found
Backup ROM
Backup ROM record not found
Bootblock Date record not found
Switching to the backup ROM does not work either.

When I go with ILO to Power Management / Power Settings i get this error

ERROR: The Power Manager is uninitialized. Restart the server to retrieve power configuration from initial POST.

Error making call: power_regulator, error=500, message=JS_PWRMGR_RC_ERROR, details=2006: Mode Get; Host may need to be rebooted for access: General Error

So it is still not possible to start the server, the amber power led is still blinking. I Changed as well the Power Supply with no difference.

I think I found the problem device. When I detach the (HP DL380 / DL385P G8 SFF HDD Backplane) from the mother board the server starts fine.
So I have to replace this HDD Backplane with a new one.

As suggested, please log a warranty case with HPE for replacement of the HDD backplane. Provide the AHS logs after the replacement to verify if there are any other issues.
