DL380p G8 with all latest driver and firmware LAG of Server 08R2?

Hi all,

My company bought the latest DL380p G8 with 16G RAM, E5-2620 CPU.

6x 300G SAS 10K Ent

2x 300G running RAID 1 with Array A on 420i with 1G FBBC

4X 300G running RAID 10 with Array B on 420i with 1G FBBC

I am fresh install the Server 08R2 x64 Std on it with latest SPP.

But I just discovered the screen will sometime LAG when I am moving the Windows from Left to Right or top to bottom etc, OR sometime running some application.

But the 12 Core CPU just little load about 10% etc, Disc loas and RAM load also very load.

This server just fresh install for test and burn out before online on the production environment....

So, I am wonder what is wrong or setting on my server error? Do your G8 like that?

THX

Best Regards

Hi,

As per my understanding, the lag you are referring occurs due to drivers issue.

If you are using the onboard Video card, try updating with latest drivers other than SPP.

If you have installed any other Graphic card, do update the drivers.

Click here for onboard video card drivers.

Thank You!
