DL380p Gen8 nvidia grid k1 cage kit
Hi
I'm trying to find some info on the Nvidia grid card for dl380p gen8 and especially the cage required The HP DL380p Gen8 Dbl Wide GPU Cage Kit (728543-B21).
the only info i can find about the cage kit is this from the quickspecs for dl380p gen8
NOTE: Kit is required to support cards greater than 9.5".
NOTE: Two 1200W Power supply kits and 2 processors are required for this riser
NOTE:This riser supports 2 single wide, or one double wide CPU option in the secondary
riser position
The conslusion i'm drawing from this is that it needs to connect to both PCI connectors and that it needs much power.
If thats true there can't be any other PCI cards in the server as this cage takes up all the space. or are there any other pci ports on this cage?
For a vmware server for view i would like to Put in a Grid K1 and a fiber channel HBA and maybe a 10GB Ethernet card. Would that be possible?
