DL385 G5 with ESXi randomly shutting down.

We have a HP ProLiant DL385 G5 with VMware ESX Server 3i that seems to randomly shut down every now and then.

We have ASR turned off and there is nothing significant in the system logs.

We think it may be due to heat because it is certainly not as cool as it should be in the server room, but there is nothing we can do about that.

Could this be something else, or is it for sure heat?

Re: DL385 G5 with ESXi randomly shutting down.

If it is heat I think you would see it in the integrated log file.
Try swapping the memory modules with another server (if possible)And of course make sure you run with the latest updates/patches.
