DL385 Intelligent Provisioning Issue? "The software has detected an internal error"

Greetings folks,

I've been doing firmware updates on our proliants as we improve the arrays (SmartCache is great) and after running the most recent SPP ISO (2022.03.0), we were checking and preparing to deploy them when we found that one didn't seem to function correctly in Intelligent provisioning (I was specifically recording steps for one button erase when it said I didn't have authorization, and didn't allow me to log in). It also shows a yellow arrow in the webUI under iLO, when clicked on it says that the software has detected an internal error. I installed the latest Intelligent Provisioning from the support site, but it didn't change anything. It does suggest I download the latest recovery ISO. Is that a thing? I'll attach a clip of what it says, the yellow arrow shows up at the top right of the screen next to various options like job cart, language, power, etc.
I did notice that Intelligent provisioning on multiple machines and a test from a browser all seem to get some kind of certificate error when trying to connect to https://ipupdate.itcs.hpe.com/ - could that be a factor?hpe-intelligent_provisioning_fail.jpg

Same issue here with a ProLiant XL420 Gen10.
The website https://ipupdate.itcs.hpe.com/ cannot be reached.

Thank you for this information.

I see that the mirror uses the SPP ISO for firmwares.

Unfortunately, the SPPs are not the latest firmware versions.
For example, the SPP 2022.03 does not include the May 2022 BIOS version.

Is there a solution to have the latest versions of firmware updates on this mirror?

You can check by create custom SPP, keep baseline SPP 2022.03 and add May 2022 BIOS version

@AmRa, I have the same issue. I tried to create an Intelligent Provisioning mirror as per the instructions but was unable to open the website below.:

Please check the ILO health first.

You connect the the iLO web interface and you click on the "iLO health" link. If you see a lot of green dots, there is no problem. But I expect that there is possibly an error with the internal SD-flash chip. If that is the case you will need a new board.

Unfortunately the internal SD-flash chip is soldered to the board and these chips go bad frequently. All G8 and G9 models are affected

Thanks, @PDP-Fan I Looked at iLo health and everything seems okay. All green. However, whenever I try to launch Intelligent Provisioning I get the error "Cannot connect to https://ipupdate.itcs.hpe.com/. Please check your network setting. Abort flashing"

I'm not a great fan of online updates. I use a bootable USB stick for all updates including Intelligent Provisioning and I never had problems with that. But I understand that if you have many servers, online update is the only way to go. I usually update only one server at a time in the repair workshop.

Have you tried to do the update via bootable media?
