DL460 IRC shows only a black screen after Linux upgrade
Hi,
I've just upgraded the linux on my c3000 from Fedora 7 to Fedora 8. Yes I am aware that Fedora is not supported. My problem is that now the Integrated Remote Console (IRC) displays a black screen.
I can plug a monitor directly onto the front of the blade and that monitor displays everything correctly. Strangely this monitor can show mouse and keyboard strokes from the IRC.
I've reduced the resolution to 1024 x 768. In passing I am not able to reduce it to 800 x 600. When I reboot the c3000 or Reset System then I see alot of the bootup sequence on the IRC but at the end then the IRC screen goes black when Fedora appears on the locally connected monitor. This problem did not occur previously.
I see items about iLO upgrades but I don't if they will make any difference.
Would anyone know how I can get the IRC to display the screen on the c3000 with Fedora 8?
-Michael

Re: DL460 IRC shows only a black screen after Linux upgrade
In the end I used realVNC after allowing other users control the desktop in the Remote Desktop preferences section
