I have been fighting with one of my DS580s for several months now where it seems to restart when ever it is under a load. This is a WebLogic8.1/W2k, 4x700, 4G, Raid 5 on the integrated controller.
I have replace the entire backplane, raid controller, all 4 drives, all DIMMs and installed Insight Mgr 7.00 with all appropriate drivers. The error I'm getting in the server logs is:
Blue Screen Trap (BugCheck, STOP: 0x000000D1 (0x00000087, 0x000000FF, 0x00000000, 0x89055F5E))
Win app/sys logs are useless as usual. Only reporting the typical 6008 (unexpected shutdown ...)
I have disabled ASR hoping to capture more information from the console next time this happens.
My question is two part. One, has anyone else been up against something similar and solved it without replacing the entire box? And two, It's hanging at a "A Critical Error occurred prior to this power-up, /n press F1 to continue" message. How can I disable that F1 prompt?

Bill:
Deep breath.. I know you need one.
Do you have the latest bios:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/20811.html
There were Stop 0xD1 errors fixed in that release!
Have you installed the latest PSP version 7.10:
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/19613.html
Are you teaming the NIC's?
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=PSD_EM010501_CW01
Let me know if you have already checked these?

Re: DL580 (G1) Blue Screens
It's a G1 (4x700mhz) so the latest BIOS is 12/17/2002. I last installed using RDU 7.0. 7.1 does show me four items that have some minor updates. I'm installing them now. I'm going to see if I can run a load test post installation and see if this helps. I'll post any updates in the near future.
I am teaming the NICs in this box. It has two backend NICs teamed fail on fault (AFT) and one front-end NIC. The sqpteam.sys is ver. 7.41.0 (5/14/2004).
Thanks for the help.
Bill
Regarding the F1 comment:
ASR is bouncing the box and resulting in the F1. Without ASR it should stay at the BSOD so I can hopefully gleam more details from the dump.
