DL580 G1 Server 177 Configuration not complete Error

Hi, we have problem with our DL580 G1 server, it was given error while rebooting "177 Configuration not complete controller order not setup. press F1 to continue. we press F1 server boots up but immediately gives blue dump and restarts. we try F10 key but we got "Not valid partition found message". Server is production server and storage was connected in Smart Array 5300 controller. Kindly help how to close the issue. we got 5300 Raid controller battery has low charge message.

Hi,

Check the following settings and disks.

1.Power up the server.
The server runs the POST sequence, and briefly displays a
prompt for RBSU.
2.At the prompt, press the F9 key to start RBSU.
3.Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the system and
to set the boot controller order.
4.Save the configuration and exit from the utility.
5.Restart the server for the new settings to take effect.

1. Reboot the server. The POST sequence begins, and an ORCA prompt message is
briefly displayed.
2. Press the F8 key to start ORCA.
3. On the Main Menu screen, select Select as Boot Controller.
4. Follow the remaining prompts to set the currently selected controller as the boot
controller for the system.

Hi, F9 key is not responding, pls let me know any other option is there to go in to RBSU

It should say in the POST what button to press.. what about the DEL button or maybe that was never used on servers?

F1, F8, F9, F10.. it varies.

Hi, Thank you for your support, i have corrected this error with help of smart start CD. Now i got error while booting the OS, it was "Hardware Malfunction call vendor" message displayed with blue screen or some time Blue screen dump and restarted. please help what to do for this issue. i done a physical check inside the server for any ampher indication, but noting no indication found. please help....

If you run the smartstart diagnostics, do you get any errors?

Hi, The diagnostic utility did't find any error on the server.

Maybe you can try to run the server in minimal configuration and see if it's possible to isolate the problematic part..

Memory and pci slot check or pci device slots change.

Thank you to all, i will sort out the issue, it was memory bank problem one of the memory module given error & the same replaced now server working fine. Thanks for the support.
