DL580 G2 CPU Support

Hi there,

We've come across a DL580 G2 in our stock and it's loaded with 4x 2GHz Xeon Processors. We might want to try and extend the life of this product so is it possible to use Generic Xeon CPU's or do we have to use special HP ones?

By extend the life, I mean install newer/faster CPUs...

Sir need in support for dl 580 g2  server. Want to add two more CPU 2.2 /512/ 2 mb but server restarts after 2-3 hours in red hat linux enterprise server 3 ver

We want to upgrade old server ml 370 g3 by replacement of cpu 2.8/512 to 3.2/512/1mb/533 mhz with compatible mother part no but system show a amber light and restarts. Pl help
