DL580 G2 Memory errors
Have a couple of DL580G2's that keep abending with the below error in the Insight Management Log.
Error is:
Uncorrectable Memory Error (System Memory, Memory Module 1) or (System Memory, Memory Module 2) or (System Memory, Memory Module 3) or (System Memory, Memory Module 4)
We have replaced system boards and memory. Tonight I also going to upgrade firmware.
If that fails any one get any ideas.
Thanks

Re: DL580 G2 Memory errors
Try to update the web agent also. But after replacing the Memory the error should be resolved.

Re: DL580 G2 Memory errors
Please see the following customer advisory regarding the memory board on the DL580 G2 models built before January 2003.
http://wwss1pro.compaq.com/support/reference_library/viewdocument.asp?source=EL030605_CW01.xml&dt=3
It might be unrelated but worth checking since it appears to be memory errors in your case.
Regards,
Brian

Re: DL580 G2 Memory errors
HP/Compaq has identified an issue of possible flux residue on Dual Inline Memory
Modules (DIMMs) used in Compaq ProLiant Servers.
The residue has the potential to generate both Correctable and Uncorrectable memory
errors, which appear as error messages in the Windows NT Event Log, Integrated
Management Log (IML), and Insight Manager.
Try removing and replacing the memory module and check for the existence of the
issue.
To resolve the issue, download and install the HP Insight Management Agents for
Windows 2000/Server 2003 (version 7.0.0.0) from the following Web link:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/18538.html
If the problem persists, to eliminate the cause of any hardware issues in the server,
we suggest that you run the Server Diagnostics Utility (SDU) and verify the report.
The SDU may take a considerable amount of time depending on the server configuration.
Please note that the server would be offline while running this utility. The SDU can
be run from a SmartStart CD. You can also download the utility from the Web link
given below and run from the floppy diskette:
