DL580 G3 & Mezzanine Cards

I was wondering if anybody could tell me whehter it's possible to add (2) diffeerent mezzanine expansion boards to a G3 DL580. The two I'm looking at adding are:

1. 411792-001 - HP PCI Express Expansion Board
and
2. 389867-B21 PCI Express X8 Mezzanine Option

We're needig to do this to be able to add multiple (multi-nic) Network interface cards.

By looking at the G4 Techspecs there appears to be the capacity to add two mezaanine cards but I can't tell if the G3 offers the same.

Hello Ricci,

As per your Query, the DL580 G3 has Up to Seven I/O Slots: 5 Standard 64-bit PCI-X (Three 133MHz and Two 100MHz). Optional Mezzanine adds Two Hot Plug 64-bit/133MHz PCI-X or two X4 PCI Express, or one X8 PCI Express.

Only ONE mezzanine cards can be added to this;
Even to G4 servers;
Up to Six Available I/O Slots: 3 Standard PCI-Express x4 and 1 Standard 64-bit/133MHz PCI-X. Optional Mezzanine adds Two Hot Plug 64-bit/133MHz PCI-X or two X4 PCI Express, or one X8 PCI Express

Had these servers supported 2 Mezz cards, the description would have been something as "TWO Optional Mezzanine adds FOUR Hot Plug 64-bit/133MHz PCI-X or FOUR X4 PCI Express, or TWO X8 PCI Express"

The description will always quote the MAXIMUM capacity(tested); & obviously HP will never UNDER QUOTE its hardware potential.
