DL580 G3 (and other proliants) Bus Detection Order

I'm looking for a document that will show me the bus detection order for a DL580 G3. I am planning a deployment and need to know the order my extra NICs will be detected so I can create a cabling guide for the server. I understand this information may be on the cover diagram for reference, but the server is question is currently running and I can't pull it to take a look!

Bus numbers printed at the rear, above pci(x) slots.
In DL580 G3, if you looking from rear, numbering goes from right to left.

Re: DL580 G3 (and other proliants) Bus Detection Order

Thanks for the reply. Those numbers indicate slot number, but not necessarily bus order or detection order. For example, in the DL580 G2 there are six slots, 1-6, which are in pairs on different buses (bus 2, 6, and 10, but not in that order). The actual slot detection order in a DL580 G2 is 5-6-3-4-1-2, so a NIC in slot 5 will be detected as lan0 (unix) or Local Area Connection (Windows).

I need to get the same detection order for the G3.

Cheers!

Re: DL580 G3 (and other proliants) Bus Detection Order

Found this in QuickSpec:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12195_div/12195_div.html
Expansion Slots with No Mezzanine Option 3-4-5 (bus numbers 12-15-19), 6-7 on the same bus (22).
Expansion Slots with PCI-X Mezzanine Option 1-2-3-4-5, 6-7 on the same bus, etc.

From DL580G2 quickspec Slots 5-6 on bus 2, 3-4 on bus 6, 1-2 on bus 10, so may be this info useful for you?
