DL580 G3 hardisk light blinking.
can anybody assist on how to check why is the hardisk was blinking and is it contributed to the system slow problem.

An orange blinking light, is a pre-failure alert. The drive is running at the moment, but is likely to fail soon.
It should be replaced as soon as you can.

You could try just reseating the drive and see if that helps.
You should check that the disk is part of a RAID array before you do this though...

The drive will probably fail soon. You can even replace the bad drive with a known good but used one, if you don't want to use a "new" drive ;-)

thanks for the reply, unfortunately before i replacing the hardisk, the os corrupted and the production server down. Now i already replaced the hardisk with the new one and reinstall the OS again.
so thing back to normal again. thank again for your help.
