DL580 G4 Accelerator Board Battery Failed
Hi,
We have a DL580 G4 with a Smart Array P400 that gave a Accelerator Board Battery Failed error when it was first turned on, now on a full system pre-post check no errors are shown and in the Post self test no errors are shown ether?
Is this anything to worry about
Thanks

Re: DL580 G4 Accelerator Board Battery Failed
Hi Simon,
There is nothing to worry about.
Reason:
During the first power on, there could be a
POST message indicating that the array accelerator (cache) is temporarily disabled or Array Accelerator Battery Failed Message.
This is normal, because the new battery pack is likely to have a low charge because the recharge process begins automatically when the battery pack is installed. The
controller will operate properly while the battery pack recharges, although the performance advantage of the
array accelerator will be absent. When the battery pack has been charged to a satisfactory level, the array accelerator will automatically be enabled.
Since there are no Error's reported, I beleive that the battery is operating properly.
General recommendation: Update the firmware on the P400 to the latest. - 2.08

Hope this answers your query.
