DL580 G5 - Server shutsdown due to fan error??

DL580 G5 - Server shutsdown due to fan error??

This DL580 G5 server is reporting fan error on fan#3 & 4 and it brought down the server. Frankly I was shocked because I never know fan failure will cause server not posting. Anyways both fans has been replaced now but server is still not working properly.

Any suggestions?

Hi Josh,

You should checked that issue by replacing fan 3 & 4

Hi,

I suspected fan error could be one issue and the server's not posting is another issue. So I went back to the server, replaced the sys bd. and solved the issue. Server is posting now and up running!
