DL580 array controller firmware upgrade failure

I have a Dual Xeon 700 DL580. I'm not finding success upgrading the firmware from 1.42 to 1.50. I was able to successfully upgrade the System ROM, but no matter what I try, the array controller is unable to take the upgrade.

I've tried the custom and express upgrade options.

I'm booting off of the ROM Update Utility v2.1.6 disk.

There was an issue with some of the Integrated Array controllers not updating - you'd get a Failure = Cmh something something...

Anyway - download

And then update to the latest version. If you have a look at the read me it will address this exact issue.

thanks for the replies.

the first option talks about upgrading the firmware to 1.34, which is below the current 1.42-6 (not sure, but it's in that range.)

as for the second link, under supported systems, i dont see support for the DL580? so will there be a problem using this patch?

I'm not sure why it doesn't as the same integrated controller is used in the DL380 and DL580.
