DL580G5 + MSA60

I'm swapping a DL580GB. currently the production 580(#1) has a p800 with driver version 6.12.4.64. The same setup/hardware that I'm replacing it with, the 580(#2) has 6.18.0.64 drivers for the P800. When I swap the 580'G without swapping the MSA60's they are connected to, I start getting windows errors:
"The driver detected a controller error on \Device\RaidPort3."
Nervous, I put the servers back in the original locations and they are fine. Could this be a MSA60 firmware issue? Is it possible to firmware update a MSA60 without restarting the systems?

Do you have 2 MSA60s?

Did you swap the cables from each DL580 to its MSA60 when you 'swapped' as well? Without any reboot or such?

It could also be firmware on the P800 card.

No, just one msa60. Not sure if the cables were swapped with the dl580 or not. Could the cables being swapped cause any issues?

We are planning updating the 6.12 up to 6.18 then trying the swap again.

Yes.

I mean if you don't move the MSA60 cables as well, then what are you swapping? The Ethernet cables? That shouldn't cause hdd errors.
