DL585 875 Dual Core Unsupported Processor in socket
We are doing some testing together AMD.
We took one of our DL585 G1 equipped with 4 852 AMD opteron processors and 4GB DDR400 RAM.
We upgraded the ROM to the latest ONE ( using ROMpaq 30669).
Then we swapped the CPUS using the 875 Dualcore AMD opteron processors provided by AMD.
After the HP logo the processors are recognized as AMD Opteron 2.200 Mhz than we have
Unsupported processor in socket2
Unsupported processor in socket1
Unsupported processor in socket3
Unsupported processor in socket4
System Halted
Can someone help me ?
Maurizio Davini

Re: DL585 875 Dual Core Unsupported Processor in socket
According to the link below you are not at the latest ROMpaq after all. The latest rev. is CP005657. The release notes says it is specific for adding support for the dual-core procs.
Give it a try and let me know.
