DL585 G2 Unknown events on hplog / server crash
One of our DL585 G2's crashed last night.
the lasts lines on hplog -v output shows:
0014 Unknown 02:31 02/18/2010 02:31 02/18/2010 0001
LOG: Unknown Event (Class 19, Code 0)
followed by an ASR
0012 Critical 03:28 02/18/2010 03:28 02/18/2010 0001
LOG: ASR Detected by System ROM
The BIOS version is:
Version: A07
Release Date: 09/27/2008
PSP Version is 8.3.0
Server is Running Red Hat 5.2 with kernel 2.6.18-92.1.22.el5 x86_64
Any help to determine what caused this ASR and what Unknown Event (Class 19, Code 0) means will be appreciated.

Re: DL585 G2 Unknown events on hplog / server crash
Hi Gerardo,
ASR means Automatic Server Restart, and by rule is caused by some hardware problem. Is possible to boot to system at all, it would be good to see content of /var/log/messages, /var/log/syslog, output of dmesg.
Also you should check iml log by using
hpasmcli -s "show iml" ( you have PSP installed already )
Regards,
Elvirk

Re: DL585 G2 Unknown events on hplog / server crash
Nevermind we ran diagnostics on the servers and found two faulty dimms. System has been running without problems since then.
Thanks a lot

Re: DL585 G2 Unknown events on hplog / server crash
Diagnostics found two faulty dimms (unreported on IML), they were replaced and system is running fine.
