DL585 G2 and Windows Server 2003
I've bought an new DL585 G2, 4xDualCore, 16GB RAM.
I installed Windows Server 2003 Enterprise Edition and SupportPack 7.60.
After finishing the installation there are 3 "Unknown Devices" called "PCI Memory Controller" in device manager.
how can I install the drivers for these devices?
after a test with SP1 of W2K3 the drivers are installed.
but I need a system without SP1!!!
Which OSes are supported on DL585G2?
Is there a list available online?
thx

Re: DL585 G2 and Windows Server 2003
so want to install W2003 without any Service Pack (no SP1 no SP2 right?)
when you do that you got 3 unknown devices? but when you install SP1 everything is fine right?
have yo tried PSP 7.9 or 7.8? without SP1 to check if the devices got recognized?
regards

Re: DL585 G2 and Windows Server 2003
check this
http://h71028.www7.hp.com/enterprise/cache/461231-0-0-0-121.html
(2) It is recommended that installation of Windows Server 2003, Enterprise Edition or Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition include Service Pack 1 as "slipstreamed" media. Please see Customer Advisory #11811 and Customer Advisory #EM050425_CW01.
so you need at least SP1 to have a complete functional System
