DL585 & PCI-X blanks

I want to take the PCI-X HBA cards out of 4 different DL585 servers. I am told that I need to put in a PCI-X blank to ensure correct airflow.

Is there anywhere I can purchase these blanks?

I assume you just mean the metal PCI slot blanks that sit vertically at 90 degrees to each slot at the back of the server, yes?

You dont need to put anything in the actual slots as blanks...

Any will do, even from an old PC

Not mega important, but yes, you will get slightly better airflow with them in.

Theres a Misc Hardware Kit available for this server that has part number 385642-001 but I'm unsure whats actually in it.

I work for a company that gets its kit from dealers that only sell to the trade so Im unsure where you'd get this from.

May be worth 'a google' on that part number...

There are quote a few google matches on "pci filler".

The HP part is 340-3256 PCI FILLER PANEL .
