DL740 - IM 7 Reports Non-redundancy

Question.
DL740 - Win2k Adv.Server. Insight Manager is reporting that the "The Power converter is not redundant". There are two power supplies installed and active. Is there a driver or something that might be missing or a component?
Thanks!
Ed

Re: DL740 - IM 7 Reports Non-redundancy

per the quick specs on the DL740 if you are running low line voltage your server will not have redundant power suppplies.

"Power Converter" is different from "Power Supply." You may have a problem with the converters on the motherboard.

Re: DL740 - IM 7 Reports Non-redundancy

David,
I was just about to pop back in here with an update. Turns out the servers are running at high line after all. Two identical DL740s setup in the same rack. Both going to the same PDU and one server reports the problem and the other doesn't. The tech took the processor module from one server and swapped it with the other server and the problem followed on to the next server. So I think you're right... there could be a hardware problem here. Another processor board is on order...
Thanks!
