Re: DL740 memory failure crashed server
If it were my system, I'd get the latest SmartStart/PSP before putting a lot of energy into "shooting the bug". Version 7.40 is available for download using the link(s) found here:
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/subscription/PSM_subscription.html?
Make a great day!

Re: DL740 memory failure crashed server
Before you jump to any replacement
verify latest ROM

you can find rules and Settings at: " memory configuration " search results

Re: DL740 memory failure crashed server
Do you have this driver installed?

Make a great day!
Roger
BTW, your memory is configured correctly, assuming all the 256MB pieces have the same part number and the 1GB pieces do too.
Do you have W2K3 SP1 installed?

Re: DL740 memory failure crashed server
I'll be checking on the speed of the memory soon. Unfortunately we don't buy HP memory because of cost (we buy Kingston) and HP SIM doesn't give me a whole lot of info on the DIMMs since they're not HP.
