DL760 is not recognising Memory above 3.6 GB

We have a DL 760 Server running Windows 2000 Advanced server and has 4GB of memory (RAM) but only recognises 3.6GB. We had a need for more memory for an application we are running and added 2GB extra memory (RAM). However the system still only recognising 3.6GB memory even after the increase. How do we rectify this?

I forgot to add that our objective is to increase our addressable memory to about 4 to 5GB or more.

I saw someone else with similar symptoms on a DL580. See my response here:

The DL760 also has Hotplug PCI slots, so it probably affects this server, too.
