DL785 SW1 #5 Switch

DL785 SW1 #5 Switch

The Server manuals say that 3.1 Ghz processors require the sw1 switch #5 to be on. Does anyone know what the SW1 switch are, theres no info in the manuals.

Hi,

this switch needs to be set as of certain CPU models and enables SSC to reduce EMI.
Have a look on the internet for info about Spread Spectrum Clock (SSC) and EMI.
