DLT 20/40 GB EXT Device

Dear Sir,

When installing a Compaq 20/40 GB DLT ( Firmware: D887 ) drive external via a SCSI Ext Compaq Cable P/N: 189636-002 on the external SCSI connector of a Proliant 3000 (Pentium II /300Mhz - ROM : 04/19/2000, Family 386E39, Type 03 ), the DLT device is not seen during the first SCSI Scanning !!!!

When we connect the DLT device onto a Proliant ML370 (Pentium III /733Mhz - ROM: 08/24/2000, Family 386P17, Type 03 ) using the same Compaq Ext SCSi Cable, the device is recognized and working under WNT 4.0 server.

Any Idea !

Possible bad external port on the PL3000 .
