DLT DRIVE OR POWER PROBLEMS
The other day I accidently tripped the power on the server via an access panel. Every since then the Compaq DLT 15/30 drive's lights along the left side of the unit just flash. I connected and reconnected power & cables to the unit w/ no change. I pulled the drive and took it home and hooked it to my Proliant 1600 and it worked fine. I brought it back and reinstalled w/ same results. Bottom line, it appears as though it errors when plugged into power from the server but not external power. In the 3000 it receives power via the drive cage. I haven't checked the voltage level but the CDROM does also and it appears ok. Has anyone seen this come up before. I wouldn't want to spend $$$ on a new drive cage to find that doesn't fix it but I'm also concerned about power into the drive cage containing 6-9.1 Raid 5 drives. Please help.
