Degraded Performance drive recovery

We have an NT server with 13 out of 30 18.2GB disks being reported by Insight Manager v4.80 as having degraded performance (action=replace drive). I want to replace these disks as fast as possible - after shutting the server down can I replace one disk in each of 4 arrays on that server at a time ? There are 3 RAIDs of 6 disks each on a 3100ES controller (for internally mounted storage) and 1 RAID of 12 disks on a 3200 (for externally mounted storage).

Re: Degraded Performance drive recovery

yes and no...yes the technology allows you to pull out one and replace it with another..wait for rebuild then continue to the next one..however.if more than one drive is degraded in the array then rebuild may not occur..it is safest to have a backup of your data ready just in case
We are here for a good time, not a long time!
