Deleted diagnostic partition

Inhereted an ML350 with 3 18gb drives in a raid 5 array. Wanted to install linux and blew away the diagnostic partition. Should I expect flames and performance on par with a 286 after doing this, or is there no great cause for alarm?

If needed, how do I get it back?

Re: Deleted diagnostic partition

Jim:

The system partition is a "usefull thing" but you "can" live without it. That said, you can rebuild it with a SmartStart CD or just do the configuration via the diskette version:

You will need 4 disks.
