Disable embedded array-cont if Smart-3200 installed?

The embedded array controller on the DL380 offers read-only caching.

If I decied to install a full read-write caching array controller (such as Smart-3200), should I attempt to disable the embedded controller (as system config warns strongly AGAINST this).

If I carefully don't install the driver for the embedded controller, when I later upgrade the server from my integration and attempt to upgrade the Array configuration utility (to manage my Smart-3200), the cpqsupsw utility forces installation of the NT driver for the embedded controller - which I don't want.

What is the best way to handle these conflicting requirements, please?

Re: Disable embedded array-cont if Smart-3200 installed?

Roger H has suggested removing the integrated Smart Array controller. Obviously my drive cage is correctly cabled to my PCI-plug-in Smart3200 controller.
I can't see in my documentation how to remove the integrated controller. Are we talking about physically removing the hardware, please?

The integrated SMART is on a SODIMM like module on the right hand side of the system, I think I am right in saying that if it is unplugged the two on board channels revert to plain SCSI?
