Disabling a Processor

I have a DL380G3 with dual processors running a VoIP application that is causing us some small issues. The company has asked us to disable the 2nd processor. Can this be done easily? The OS is 2003

Re: Disabling a Processor

Greg:

One way you can possible disable the processer is to let the server think it is a single CPU box. Change the Device settings from Multiprocessor to Uniprocessor in the Computer Catagory. Restart is necessary.

You can also physically remove the processor.

I do not think there is a way to disable it in the RBSU, though I could be mistaken.

Re: Disabling a Processor

You need to Remove Physically CPU and Processor Power Module. Also you might have to disable Hyper-Threading (HT). Some application license requires that.
