Disabling onboard video on ML110

I need to use a 32MB pci video card on a Proliant ML110 scsi server. I tried an Ati 32 MB but the server did not boot. I believe I need to disable the onboard video to avoid conflicts. Have anyone tried a similar configuration?

PD: The bios does not allow disabling the video.

Have you tried changing the IRQ first on the onboard video before inserting the new one?

Have you simply tried putting the PCI video card into another PCI slot? In fact, try each and every PCI slot in turn. This will often resolve an IRQ conflict. It is worth a try.
