Disk Configuration

We are purchasing a ML370G2, P3 1.1ghz, 1GB Ram, 4200 controller. What is the ultimate disk config for a SQL 7 db? I am thinking Raid 5 for the db and raid 1 for the OS and logs. Will the 4200 controller do both without a performance hit or do we need to use 2 controllers? The db is not very big at all (only about 6GB).

Re: Disk Configuration

Reviewing my SYSPARCH course I would recommend RAID 0+1 to provide the best performance for the SQL7 database. You could use the internal SCSi for the system partitiion and the 4200 for the database.
