SolutionThe Drive has not failed yet but due to the error log which has reached threshold, the message has been generated and the drive may fail in the near future. This is the reason the Hot spare has not kicked in.

Re: Disk Failed but Hotspare not kicked in?
with this array
shud i just be able to rip failing drive out
put replacement in
and let it rebuild it self without doing a restore.

Re: Disk Failed but Hotspare not kicked in?
If possible Post the ADU report to have a closer look for any other errors.

Re: Disk Failed but Hotspare not kicked in?
The firmware's for the controller and drives are quite old and should be updated.
