Disks lost after loading between two servers of HP DL580 G7

The online server has 8 disks.

Disk1 and disk2 with C and D drives, and disk3 to disk8 with E and F drives are raid5.

We have the backup of C and D drives.

Guys test new server with two disks.

Copy the C disks to new server and load the disk3 to disk8 from online serrve to new server. After starting, the system can get the C, E, F drives.

Unfortunately, guys load the disk1 and disk2 from online server to new server. After then, the disks couldn't detected both servers.. Now, we use the new disks to recovery the system and lost some important data of F drive.

Question:

How to recovery the data?

Is there raid information in disks?

Hello

Yes, the RAID information are stored in hard drives.

But the way  hard drives were swapped from one server to another, we cant assure that data and Raid information are still intact.  However you can try following option

1. In online server, remove all hard drives and mark the bay number on each drive. then power cycle the server.

2. Insert all the hard drives into the bay as you have marked.

3. Power on the server and check the status.

4. If the OS does not boots up, try installing/ repair the OS in disk 1

5, If above action does not work, please contact data recovery vendor,
