After installing the RIB on a Compaq 1600 and 5500 servers, we were unable to get the appropriate drivers for a respectable display. After each login, we get to the display properties in order get the right driver (ATI). The Compaq DL380 works just fine, although this model is the only one that required a cable connection between the RIB and the motherboard. Any suggestions?

on the 5500 you dont use the internal cable..and you dont need to reinstall video drivers. your video should be connected to the rib board and you should disable the onbaord video by putting switch 1 on the six bank dip switch located on the system board to the on position

Since the problem happened on one of our remote sight, which is in Australia, I sent the procedure you gave me to a contact down there. We'll see what happens next. I also found a file to update the video driver CP000759.exe which could help.
