Display is not working
Any suggestions on how to proceed to recover the display ?

It is quite difficult for me to make any investigation without displaying so I think I will try to get another vga card...

try reseating parts, Procs, memory, ...
check system board for any LED
minimize server only 1 Proc, 2 DIMMs, no PIC cards
try pinging server if you get any response
and so on

If you are talking About windows;
There is Two option what I am getting...
1. Login through and remove Display driver.
Then you are able to see display.
2. Now you use proper display driver with setting of max color support as per your monitor.
If any confusion use 600x800.
