This server has run flawlessly over the last two years up until a few months ago with the problem arrising. It is also the print server. The spool file in on the system drive. any ideas of which way to look would be appreciated.

Hi,

It's not a DL380 G5 if it has a Smart Array 5i embedded controller, more likely a G2 or G3. Start by running the Array Diagnostic Utility (ADU) and capturing the report file.

You don't mention what operating system you are using so I will assume that it's Windows based. If you need the ADU it can be downloaded from here.

Attach the report file to your next reply and it can be analysed to check for any disk or controller problems.

You may update the firmware using the Firmware Maintenance CD, update all the components.
That may help
