Dl320 .. windows xp??
Anyone know of a way to get xp installed onto a dl320 ?
Tried using a 6300 raid driver during the install (f6) method, to no avail.
Cant use a dl380 smart start disk, as it doesnt have xp option on it.
Yes yes, who in thier right mind wants xp in a server, but that is whats required in this instance.
Could seriously do with some help please.
Ta,
- Ken

Re: Dl320 .. windows xp??
What DL320 are you talking about? If it's a G3 SATA model you need to turn on the raid rom option in the RBSU (F9). You need to use the HP embedded SATA raid driver and a floppy drive.

XP won't work with latest Array Controller, luck of the Driver; it will do only with older Array Controllers

Re: Dl320 .. windows xp??
Got it working on a Dl320, g3
:)
Played 'hunt the drivers' on the net and found one which worked for the raid and found one for the nics that work under xp.
If anyone needs them give me a shout.
