Dl380 dead
I have a dl380 g3 that I got last August. About a month ago I tried booting the server and nothing really happens. It will power up and show all healthy lights on the front panel but there is no beep, no bios, or any attempt to fully boot. All hard drives do spin up, start, and show healthy. Is there any type of test I can run to determine the source of my problems. I have already tried booting with a live disc with no success. I have read several posts stating that it's the mobo but I would like to verify before I go spending money. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Re: Dl380 dead
Maybe there is a Riloe Card Installed, and you have your video cable connected to the "On-Board" VGA instead. If so, you'll need to connect your console cable to the add-in Riloe board.
You also can try to re-seat the riser card, here is a link on how to:

always, boot with the latest firmware update CD and update all firmware, here:

Re: Dl380 dead
That is very strange! Perhaps consider temporarily installing a video card and seeing if that gives any display. That is a very unusual failure. Unplug *all* USB peripherals too and try again. Unplug everything you can one at a time to see if you can identify a faulty component. Good luck!
