Dl380G5 failing W2k8R2 install with USB Driver 0xFE BSOD
Hi
Trying to install W2k8R2 on a Cisco MCS7835, which is a rebadged DL380G5. The install is failing after the second reboot with a USB Driver bug check. I can install W2k8 64 bit with no porblem, this issue only arises when trying to install R2. I have tried from SmartStart and direct from MSFT DVD but continues to fail at this point.
Any help much appreciated
John

Hey.
Disable USB? =)
Did you try another version of the smartstart?
Are you installing from iLO or directly via a monitor/keyboard? Sometimes installing via a KVM can cause these weird problems.

Found problem ! I had been building using SmartStart CD and had thought all drivers were bing updated but the SmartStart CD was not updating the iLO firmware, once I manually updated that then all worked OK.
